Anyone who has been to Japan can agree that, at least for us, it is an entirely new and surreal cultural experience. All the quirks that you see beamed out through pop culture references are largely true to real life and getting to see it in real life makes your day-to-day seem like a dream. Like many of your mates, Melbourne photographer Piers Fitton got a taste of Japan’s cultural finesse for the first time recently and did not think twice about capturing these moments on his camera roll.
